Troy Boiler Works replaced a failing legacy system with an AKS dura-kut. Download the case study to learn how our equipment improved processes and opened new revenue streams.
The company was running a plasma machine from the 1990s that had become a liability. Parts were becoming difficult to find and even trained technicians had trouble supporting it. Additionally, bevels took hours to set up and required countless amounts of wasted material for test cuts. Meanwhile, the shop had no in-house tube/pipe cutting capability, which left potential revenue on the table.

After evaluating eight suppliers, Troy Boiler Works chose the dura-kut from AKS Cutting Systems. The robo-kut bevel attachment eliminated headaches and bottlenecks that had been slowing down the shop for years. The tube-kut also allows them to do automated in-house tube/pipe cutting for the first time.
Bevel cuts now require minimal operator input, which offers incredible time savings. Programming that used to require deep training now takes a few clicks, and the shop is cutting tube/pipe in-house for the first time in its history.
